Orders ship from our location in the San Antonio, TX area Monday-Friday within 24 hours of receipt of the order unless indicated otherwise on the product page. Orders placed over the weekend will ship from our location the following business day. We utilize UPS and USPS for our shipping needs. We are closed and orders will not ship on New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, and from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day.
SHIPPING OPTIONS & COST: You will be given an opportunity at checkout to choose from a variety of shipping services. Standard (Ground) shipping is Free in the continental US. Expedited shipping options are available, and costs are calculated based on the weight & size of the items you are shipping, the service you are using, and the location to which you are shipping.
PLEASE BE ADVISED:
1. Standard shipping does NOT provide a guaranteed delivery date.
2. The calculation of shipping days does NOT include Saturdays, Sundays or U.S. Postal Service holidays.
3. The calculation of shipping days does NOT include the day on which a package ships.
4. When shipping to a college campus, a notice of delivery from the shipping carrier indicates that the package has been delivered to the campus mail service, not into your student's hands. It can take an additional day or two (or even more, depending on the university) until the mail room routes the package to the correct pickup location for your student. Plan ahead; ship early.
We offer the following Shipping Options:
Standard Shipping – 1 to 5 business days, depending on the how far the destination is from our warehouse in Boerne, TX (near San Antonio). This option is FREE for addresses in the continental US.
3 Business Days – Your package will deliver by the end of the day on the 3rd Business Day after it is shipped.
2 Business Days – Your package will deliver by the end of the day on the 2nd Business Day after it is shipped.
Next Business Day - Your package will deliver by the end of the day on the Next Business Day after it is shipped.
RUSH ORDERS: You must select the appropriate shipping method for your package to arrive on-time. Please refer to the shipping options above. Be sure to calculate BUSINESS DAYS ONLY (M-F, no postal holidays) when calculating when your package will arrive. ADVANCE ORDERS: If you are placing an advance order (two weeks in advance or more) please select the option "HOLD for Future Delivery Date" during the checkout process and indicate the date you would like the package to arrive in the FUTURE DELIVERY DATE box or provide more information in the Comment box during checkout. Orders ship from our office warehouse in Boerne, TX.
1) SCHEDULE PACKAGES TO ARRIVE EARLY It is nice to receive a surprise on your birthday or on the exact date of a holiday, however most people would rather receive a package a day early than a day late. Scheduling a package to arrive early allows for the unknown such as unexpected delays in-transit, failed delivery because the recipient was not home, etc.
2) CHECK THE SHIPPING OPTIONS INFO ABOVE before choosing your shipping method. When in doubt (before or after you've placed your order) call us at 866-746-5133. We are available M-F from 9-5 CST and we're good at checking our voicemail...so feel free to leave us a message during non-office hours.
3) SHIPPING TO SUMMER CAMP:
When shipping to a summer camp please keep in mind that most camps deliver care packages to campers at MAIL CALL only. MAIL CALL may take place the DAY AFTER your package was delivered depending upon the camp and the time they receive their deliveries. It is best to select a shipping method that will get your package to the camp the DAY BEFORE you want it to be delivered. You may notify us in the Comment box during checkout if you'd like us to add a note to the top of the shipping box (via a sticker) to make the camp director aware of your desired delivery date. 4) SHIPPING TO COLLEGE STUDENTS:
MAIL / PACKAGE ROOM: Many colleges have a mail room which receives student packages. These mail rooms receive the package on the day you indicate you want the package to be delivered. Often the student is notified that they have a package waiting THE NEXT DAY. The student may not pick up the package until 2 DAYS AFTER it was delivered (or more). Schedule your package to arrive EARLY. Although it's not required, it's not a bad idea to notify the student that a package is coming their way so that they can look out for a slip or email from the mail room or inquire with the mail room if they have not received the package. This will not spoil their surprise, but rather help to build excitement and anticipation of something coming their way. Oh yeah...and it will help to ensure that they actually receive the package.
CAMPUS ADDRESSES: Check with Housing, Residence Life, or Student Affairs to make sure your shipping address is formatted correctly. Sometimes a dorm name and number is required (we cannot obtain this for you), other times a campus box number. In almost all cases, we must have a physical street address in order to ship. Campus Box Numbers do not always work in the same way regular PO Boxes work, so, again, check with your student’s university to confirm the EXACT address format to insure that your package gets to your student, on the date you prefer.
NAMES: Use the student's correct name, the one that the university will have on their roster. Do not use nicknames, or the package may be refused.
5) Shipping to a Hospital
After years of shipping gifts, we do not recommend shipping to hospitals. Patients are discharged early. The hospital's mail staff may take an extra day to distribute the package. If it is not addressed exactly right, it can become lost in the limbo of a hospital mail room. We DO advise shipping to the home of someone who is going back and forth to the hospital to visit. This is a more reliable way to bolster the spirits of someone in the hospital. If you do wish to go ahead and ship to a hospital patient, we recommend shipping Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air, and please be sure to read the shipping tips above. You may also call us and we will be delighted to review the options with you.
6) Military Shipping: APO & FPO Addresses
When placing your APO/FPO order, enter the recipient's full name and address in the relevant fields. Enter APO or FPO in the City field. Select Armed Forces Other Areas (AE) for the State field if the recipient is stationed in Europe, Canada, Africa, or the Middle East. Select Armed Forces America (AA) if the recipient is stationed in the Americas. Select Armed Forces Pacific (AP) if the recipient is stationed in Asia or the Pacific. Regardless of where the recipient is stationed, select United States from the Country drop-down menu. Please enter your own telephone number in the shipping telephone number blank. All shipments to APO/FPO addresses are sent US Priority Mail.
According to the Military Postal Service Agency, depending on where the service member is located, Priority Mail parcels can take up to 10 to 15 days. Transit times will vary depending on operational conditions and the unit of the recipient.
Tracking is not available for APO/FPO packages. If after two months you believe your package was not received, please notify us so that we may file a claim with USPS. USPS will research the package at that time and issue a refund if they cannot locate the package.
